Demartek to Present on iSCSI Storage Technology at RMWTUG May 2007 Meetings

Dennis Martin, President of Demartek, will speak about Internet SCSI (iSCSI) storage to the Rocky Mountain Windows Technology User Group (RMWTUG) at their May 2007 meetings. The Denver chapter meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. and the Colorado Springs chapter meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited.
“iSCSI is gaining in popularity and is proving to be a capable transport for storage systems,” said Mr. Martin. “iSCSI is an interesting blend of traditional networking and traditional storage technologies that can cost-effectively meet storage needs. There are a wide variety of solutions available that can address storage needs for almost all enterprises.”
Mr. Martin’s presentation will include discussion of basic iSCSI storage technology, including iSCSI initiators and targets, and deployment best practices for the Microsoft Windows environment. Mr. Martin will also comment on some of the specific iSCSI storage solutions available today.
