Demartek Adds SSDs to its Test Lab
17 February 2010
Demartek announces the addition of several Intel® X25-E SLC solid state drives (SSDs) to its test lab, the first in a series of SSDs to be added for SSD testing. These 2.5-inch SATA interface SSDs will be used for testing the two basic types of deployments of solid state disk technology: Caching and Primary Storage. Our plans include running synthetic benchmarks such as IOmeter and real-world application tests using these SSDs.
We are also planning to acquire other types of SSDs including:
- SAS interface SSDs
- 3.5-inch form-factor SSDs
- PCI Express (PCIe) solid state storage cards
These SSDs complement Demartek’s existing Ethernet networking, Fibre Channel and iSCSI infrastructure. Other recent additions are listed on our Lab Validation Testing page.
Demartek has ongoing testing efforts with solid state storage and unified storage networking with FCoE in the Demartek lab. Check the Demartek FCoE Zone and the Demartek SSD Zone for additional information.
